Jennair 36" gas range

Tallgman Jun 29, 2012 06:07 AM

I am doing a kitchen remodel and I am putting in a Jennair 36" gas range with griddle. Does anyone know anything about this range? I cannot find any reviews on it. For the price point it likes the best deal. There are some better ones out there, but I feel you are paying for the name. Attached is a link on the stats.

Thank you

My mother used an electric model with the grill for ~30 years. Overall it worked really well.

The one thing to be aware of, down draft exhausts basically don't work. You really want an overheat exhaust that vents outside to get rid of steam and any cooking smoke/odors.

JennAir is largely re-badged KitchenAid with a price premium enforced by UMRP price structure because it is the TOL Whirlpool brand that is sold mostly by high-end appliance stores. Some of the parts, like the 5k btu simmer burner, is available on the Whirlpool Gold Gas ranges.

There are simply better ranges for similar money.

What would you recommend for the same money and with the same features.

Just wondering if you did purchase the Jennair 36 inch range and if you like it, or have any complaints. We are considering purchasing one but can't find any reviews on the 36 inch range. Thanks.
