100+ Clients for Dinner near Hyatt Regency New Orleans

We are attending a conference in New Orleans this October and I'm trying to find a dinner venue to accomodate 100+ clients, preferably within walking distance to the Hyatt Regency New Orleans. Four years ago we went to Restaurant August and loved it, but they are not available this year. Appreciate any suggestions!

  1. Are you thinking of buying out a restaurant or renting a private room?

Either would work. Thanks for your help!

    2. Have you tried Bouche? It’s John Besh’s latest restaurant right inside the Hyatt. Haven’t eaten there yet but I think it’s big enough.

Bouche looks like a perfect option. I will look into it but also appreciate any other suggestions people might have.

Bouche is a different place. The Besh resto in the Hyatt is Borgne. Borgne is quite good, and it's definitely the best restaurant down on this end of Poydras. There are plenty of other, less convenient options that will require a bit of a walk or a bus ride. It just comes down to a question of convenience and cost. Another place that comes to mind is Calcasieu, above Cochon, and Domenica in the Roosevelt Hotel. Both are walkable depending on the weather.

Duh, you are right. I meant Borgne, but Bouche would work too.

Really appreciate your help! Borgne is out of our price range but Bouche looks like a good option. Since my original post August has also opened up. Do either of you have a strong preference for either Bouche or August?

Never been to Bouche. If Borgne is out of your price range, August certainly is. But if you can get into August, I say go for it.

        2. Have you considered Calcasieu?

          1. We attended an event for 250 at Broussard's. The welcome event was held on their patio, and then we had a private room. We did not even interfere with the regular diners.

            Just an option.
