sushi kaji time?

dmartins123 Jun 26, 2012 09:48 PM

Our 5 year anniversary is coming up and I think its about time we visit Sushi Kaji...either that or back to Splendido.

One question though: How do the drinks work there? Do they only offer sake? We are not big drinkers and would probably be stumbling out of there if we had to drink a bottle of sake.

Also, anyone been recently?

Do Kaji if you've never done it before for sure. You won't have a bad meal at either for the most part though so it's up to you.

They offer various sizes of Sake which you're free to order on your own so no worries. You can nurse a Tokkuri all night if you want.

Kaji is firing on all cylinders as per usual. Food is as good as ever.

      Went last night.

It was as good as ever. Flounder, lobster, octopus, o-toro, scallop........so fresh!

And there's all kinds of drinks, large and small so don't worry about that.

I got reservations for July 21...cant wait!

My wife ranks all sushi against "sushi on bloor", so I hope it doesnt let her down (LOL).

... it'll only let her down in the wallet! It is fantastic -- but I have to confess the last time I was there - 2 mos ago - it was great but not as awesome as other occasions I have gone. Perhaps just the daily menu was less to my loving.

I have gone to Kaji a lot over the years and I have to agree that there are varying degrees of awesome. It's usually less awesome according to ingredient availability/fish seasonality.

Nice. I'm sure your wife will love it.
