Taiwanese food in the city?

Is there such thing within SF city limits? Thanks in advance for the help!

  1. Try Taste of Formosa in the outer Richmond. The main dining room is upstairs and where they seem to direct most of their attention. Warning: They serve stinky tofu, so you might find it uncomfortable if you don't like the smell. Ground floor would then be better choice.

This quiet, nicely appointed place is good, and the scallion pancakes (cong you bing 蔥油餅) are unusual and delicious. Neither thin and crisp nor thick and flabby, they're custardy in places and flaky in others.
