Late German/Turkish Thurs night meal near Neukölln station/Swabian food anytime?
Hi Chowhounders,
I am arriving at Berlin SXF at 21:30 next Thurs and staying in a flat near Neukölln station. I've stayed there before so am slightly familiar with the area and Berlin eats in general - I had delicious Flammkuchen at Renger-Patzsch last year and have booked for dinner there Fri, and Schwarzwaldstuben is another fav and that is Sat night - unless someone can suggest somewhere else that's better around the same good value for Swabian food? I've also been to Spätzle Express on Wiener Sraße 11 - Swabian fast food - which is tasty if you're in a rush and nearby but not worth a special visit.
So if someone can suggest a decent place near Neukölln station for a weekday meal, either a restaurant that's open late or a good fast food/kebab place, that'd be great. I'd like German/Turkish and not Asian since I live in London and can eat Thai/Vietnamese here. Thanks!

My favorite place in Neukoelln is actually a greek restaurant. Great food, super friendly owners, really cheap, open late and lots of free Ouzo!

This place here in Kreuzberg sounds like it could be a winner as far as Swabian goes:

As for kebabs, I'd think there are a TON particularly in that area, and most of them are open late anyway.
Not sure how far you're willing to venture from Neukölln station, but just outside of Schönleinstrasse station on Boppstr. is one of the best shawarmas in town:
Imren

re: linguafood
Thank you, linguafood! I was hoping for something walking-distance from Neukölln station, but it might make sense to go to Imren, which I'd like to try. If anyone does know anything good within a 20-min walk, please let me know. We'll be exhausted after a Ryanair flight - and starving. Thanks!
