Green Mango (Regent Sq, Pgh) closing????

Say it isn't so, but after yet another awesome lunch there today I went home, opened the receipt to file, and saw printed on the top of the receipt "this location is closing". I know that they have a location in Monroeville, but I am never in that area. And I have heard that their Waterfont location isn't a restaurant more than just a place to stop for a snack.

Does anyone know if this is true, or is it a horrible joke??? *sigh*

I read it in the paper. They said they wanted to focus more on their family.

The Green Mango in Monroeville is still open and I have had many good meals there.

      Thanks.

Very sad, though. But now maybe we can get to that area of town and try other restaurants (DH likes "tried and true", alas). Any idea of when this location will close? I'll need to stop by and pick up a few bottles of their king sauce...

        I think 7/1 or 7/2.

I've never had a bad meal out at the Green Mango in Monroeville.

Thanks, burghgal. I'm never in the Monroeville area, but perhaps I'll have to occasionally make the trip... :|

I hope something takes its place... Empty buildings are never nice. Smiling Banana Leaf is pretty close to that Green Mango. Its on Bryant street in Highland Park. It many regards the food is better than Green Mango ( expect for the druken noodles at Mango , HA)
