Veal brats

r

I am on a quest to locate some all veal brats. I have found a couple of places to order them on-line. But the minimum order requirements and shipping costs to me here in FL just seem a bit prohibitive.

I am going to have to drive to the Washington/Baltimore area later this week. There surely must be a famous deli in one of these larger cities where I can buy veal brats.

Anyone have any experience doing this or suggest some great delis that I might contact before I get there to see if they have them?

Thanks for any help.

Binkerts in Baltimore is delicious, but closer to home, you might try Geiers in Sarasota.

Thanks Jason and Hue. I have located them, spoken with them and they seem to have just what I am looking for. I will be in Easton, MD and heading back to FL on Sat AM and going by Binkert's before heading south. Thank you very, very much.

Easton to Binkerts is a good haul...course it ain't like back to Florida...
Option One...Check with the GRAULS MARKET in St Michaels(Just outside Easton) give them a call and see if they carry it. They do carry some Binkert items regularly. Perhaps they can special order for you!!

Thanks Hue. No luck at Graul's. Binkert's will not add all that many miles to our overall trip. Only about 45 additional. Think it will be worth it. Love veal 'brats' (although I guess they are actually weisswurst. Just do not find them that frequently, especially down here in Bubba Land. No disrespect. Love it down here.

Thanks again for all your help.

Not sure when you'll be stopping by but just a heads-up- Binkert's is closed on Thursdays.

Thanks for heads up. Intention is to hit them during their 9-2 Saturday time slot.

If you are anywhere near east Baltimore County...ya cannot beat Binkert's for any type of sausage

Binkert's Meats (North of Baltimore) is a great source for them and all German Sausages. If you can't make it to their store, they do have some distribution, so you might want to check with them to see where you can buy them in an area closer to where you will be.

They sell Binkert's veal brats at Fenwick's at Cross Street Market, but I'd call ahead to make sure they have them in stock.
