Went to Village Ice Cream tonight, yesterday was the big opening.

Outstanding product. They have a handful of fantastic flavours. I know they had Vanilla Bean, Cardamom, Salted Caramel, maple, huckleberry, coffee, guide mint, toasted coconut, chocolate/chilli/cinnamon

They had a few Sorbet which are dairy free, I know one of the flavours was cranberry/ginger.

You are more than welcome to sample, they have small containers to sell. Some of the seasonal stuff is just for scoops. They do have home made waffle cones.

We had the salted caramel, cardamom, chocolate/chlli/cinnamon. Really outstanding.

Dairy Free, Gluten Free organic when available.

NOtaBLE uses their ice cream for sure, as I read it on the menu last week and I was told a few other restaurants.

Billy is the owner and ice cream mixmaster.

I had a maple pecan ice cream last night so I am pretty sure that they are not nut-free.

The maple pecan was the only flavour with nuts though.

I went on Friday night and had the cardamom ice cream. it was amazing. I also bought a pint or hibiscus juniper (sorbet) to take home. Truly unique.

Weird location but worth seeking out.

Mmmmm very good ice cream for a Stampede heat wave. Once we figured out that this dead end part of 10 th Ave S.E. is west of the 4 th street underpass ....
Tried a sample of the salted caramel and roasted coconut both were excellent - creamy, great flavour. We each had singles - mine roasted coconut in a cup, maple pecan in a waffle cone for our teen ($1 extra for the waffle cone) and strawberry in a regular cone. The strawberry was outstanding and our 15 year old said the maple pecan was excellent. Friendly staff and the parking will improve after Stampede. The stampede special is maple ice cream with crispy bacon bits, crushed waffles and a drizzle of maple syrup - yummy well worth the search - signs are posted nearby and there are extended hours right now 10am- midnight.
