Visiting Niagara Falls & Buffalo area soon. Need Recs!

Hello All,
My wife and I will be visiting the Niagara Falls and Buffalo areas in July. The wife loves wings, and we want to go to the original Buffalo Wing restaurant. Will need help with that choice, as well as any other wing recs.

Any great places to eat in the Niagara Falls area would also be appreciated on either the US or Canada side.

The "original" place for Wings is the Anchor Bar on Main Street. Duff's is the other standard choice. People will chime in with other places, as well, or you could do a search for earlier threads.

What kind of food are you looking for in the Niagara Falls area? If you're looking for a posh meal, and willing to explore a bit on the Canadian side, some of the wineries have very good (but high-end) restaurants. You might want to have a look at the Ontario board, as well.

Do yourself a favor and skip the Anchor Bar. Much like any place that's gotten way too much pbulicity, the quality has gone way downhill. And why not - they're going to get the foot traffic based on the name, so they cut corners and make a lot more money. Go to Duff's on Sheridan. Best wings in the solar system.

Also Chef's near the arena is decent Italian. They smother many of their dishes in about 10 pounds of mozzerella - that can't be bad.

I absolutely agree about the Anchor Bar. Agree, too, that Chef's is an acceptable option if proximity to the arena is an issue. But in a city with many, many good italian options, I've never understood why Chef's is such a favorite.
