Lunch in Brattleboro
Hi, a friend and myself are driving from NYC to Burlington, VT and would like to take a lunch break in Brattelboro. Someplace not too far off the interstate which I think is 91. Maybe outdoors?
Thanks for the help!

From NY but have relatives that way and we always enjoy Top of the Hill Grill. The barbecue isn't true pit style but the food is varied and always very good. Great veggie and lighter choices too.

re: laylag
Went to Top of the Hill Grill for 1st time end of May. I had the brisket plate and it was absolutely terrible. The brisket was bland, no taste & they covered it with a barbaque sauce straight from the store. The baked beans came out of a Campbell's can. The cole slaw was passable.
They won't be seeing me again.-

re: laylag
We stopped for lunch at Curtis' last Saturdat. It was the perfect place for a mid day break on our trip to Burlington. A beautiful spot, under the trees. Curtis was just as described and fun to chat with. Food was pretty good. Cucumber salad was very good, almost like young pickles. Ribs were a bit dry but I would go again.

Curtis' Barbecue
About 1/2 mile from Exit 4 off of I-91, which is only about 10 minutes from Brattleboro
I'm jealous ! You're lucky to be able to be in the area during his open summer season.
Not sure when you are traveling, but his hours are Thursday - Sunday, 11AM-7PM according to the website. Hope your trip is one of those days :-)
