Best Salted Caramel Chocolate Dessert

Any favorites in the city? From pot de cremes to baked goods!

Thanks in advance!

I recommend the "SALTY PIMP" Ice cream cone at Big Gay ice cream in the East Village. It's a caramel dipped cone with sea salt sprinkled on top.

Try a salted caramel and chocolate gelato at Eataly. Two separate scoops. One of the best things I have eaten in my life. Full disclosure mine also had banana straciatella too. Crazy good. If it's nice out walk right across the street and sit on the beach and watch the world and IMHO the fools waiting online snaking around the park waiting for a hamburger . Yours will be better

OK, this is in BK but if you're looking for chocolate-salted caramel dessert, you must try Marlow & Sons' chocolate caramel tart. It's quite intense, more like a huge piece of candy. I think it will satisfy your craving for sure!

I also recently had chocolate-salted caramel pot de creme but can't seem to remember where - if/when it comes to me, I will get back to you.

General Greene, in Fort Greene, has a salted caramel sundae that is arranged on a piece of dense caramel cake. Lots of whipped cream, and delicious. For a less complex dessert, I love a cone or cup of their ice cream (sold from a little shack called "Fort Grace" on the street outside the restaurant). Their salted caramel ice cream with pretzels is especially great in combination with a scoop of chocolate. Yum.

Without a doubt in my mind, the "Cajeta Ice Cream Sundae" at Goat Town. While it's not salted cajeta, per se, there are sweet/salty elements because of the pretzels. It's DYNAMITE.

It's not my thing, but I have friends who love theSalted Caramel Ice Cream Sundae at ABC Kitchen.

Tart at The Nomad -- at dinner comes with chocolate ice cream and a bit of crumble as well.

Victory Garden has wicked good salted caramel goats milk soft serve ice cream. Add some cocoa nibs or fudge sauce for topping and you're good to go.

OK, I know this is a really old thread, but Haagen-Dazs just came out with a sea salt caramel gelato, and I have to honestly say it's the best mass-produced ice cream product I've ever had. The texture was unbelievably smooth as well.

I love anything with salted caramel, so I greatly appreciate hearing about the new Haagen-Dazs gelato. I'll be on the look out for it. Thanks!
