Question re Wait Times for Danji, The Spotted Pig and Tertulia

Hi all,
What do you think that the wait times would be at the following restaurants between 9:30-10 p.m. on a Thursday (specifically, July 5)?

1. Danji

2. The Spotted Pig

3. Tertulia

Rather than start a new thread, I'll try to get this answered here: Anyone have experience of wait times at Danji on a non-holiday Monday around 6:30-7pm? I figure it should be super crowded, but they are so small, who knows.

was there last monday 6:15pm and there was no wait. it filled up by 6:45 though... i think if you go at 6:30 it should be ok.

made it at 6:15 and no wait for two. a couple open tables remained until we left. food was excellent and am ready to go back. anyone ever had the paella? it smelled delicious. on my list for next time. sablefish did not impress, but enjoy everything else. yellowtail sashimi and bulgogi sliders were the standouts.

Hard to say given that 4th of July is typically a big "go out of town" weeked but falls in the middle of the week this year. Some people may be taking Th/Fri off for a 5 day weekend.

You might want to call the restuarant directly and try to speak with a host, who'd have firsthand experience in how long the wait is on a normal Thursday.

Thanks! Will do. Yeah, I have been trying to decide whether the city will be less busy than normal and have talked to some friends, but there doesn't seem to be a general consensus, given the timing of 4th of July.

I say just count on at least the average wait time. Even if a lot of people are taking Thursday and Friday off, figure there are also a lot of folks out there thinking like you, that Thursday the 5th could be a good night to beat the lines. And not to be too doom and gloom, but if Friday is going to be a slow workday, people might be more willing to stick out the long waits.

its just a guess but 45 min-1 hour at danji, 1 1/2 hours at spotted pig sounds about right.

spotted pig is horribly overrated (and oversalted) by the way.

i'd say Danji is the more horribly overrated of the two. they have some standout dishes, but everything is too small, too costly, and the place is just too loud.

funny bc i love danji and think both spotted pig and tertulia are overrated

to get back to the orig topic, i think tertulia would have the worst wait

i think danji's underrated for the most part. you don't read about it in the press very often but it's always packed. the food is the most authentic korean i've had outside korea and they actually use really good ingredients... only 1* nyt but better than most 3* flavor wise.
