I know it's early, but has anyone seen any local tomatoes yet? Even cherries?

I've been visiting the local farmer's markets, and thought we might be getting close to some local cherry tomatoes, or early girls, given the warm early spring, but so far, no joy.

Anyone seen anything yet?

I got hothouse tomatoes from MacArthur Farms at the Mission Hill market yesterday.

Many of the local farmer's markets have local hothouse tomatoes, and early local cherries are in.

Yep. I bought both on Thursday from Kimball Fruit Farm at Dewey. The cherries are delicious!

Now I'm thinking the OP might have meant cherry tomatoes...whereas I was talking about cherries that grow on trees. The tomatoes I bought WERE cherry tomatoes, but the actual cherries are great!

heck, I meant cherries, not cherry tomatoes.

Even though the weather has been warm, anything not grown in a greenhouse still didn't get planted until the week before Memorial Day due to risk of frost. The plants I am growing in tomatoes are all flowering and some small tomatoes have started to grow. My in ground plants are about a week behind. The weather has been great for growing, all my plants are thriving so far.

I've seen cherry tomatoes at farmers' markets at Copley, Central Sq, and Union Sq in the past week.
