Appetizer Suggestions with Lobster Pasta?
We are having a special birthday dinner on Saturday night. The main course is lobster pasta with tomato tarragon cream sauce.
I am trying to come up with an appetizer that is not too heavy but that is really impressive.
Any great suggestions?
A couple of recipes I’ve posted before could work very well in this instance.
Eggplant Sandwiches (don’t dismiss the idea before you take a look at the recipe; these are habit-forming).
And Michael Field’s Mushroom Croustades. The mushroom filling can be used to fill mushroom caps, croustades, or puff pastry shells.
ETA: Now that I've posted that, I realize these may be more hors d'oeuvrrey than what you had in mind.
Pear, watercress and walnut salad, lay the watercress, fan slices of pear, sprinkle with walnuts and goat cheese, dress with walnut oil/dijon/red wine vinegar, cracked black pepper. Fabulous!
