Need to find a private baker/culinary student for wedding favors

Hi all, I'm in DC now but miss the boston food scene dearly. Anyways, my sister in law is getting married in July at the Boston Harbor Hotel. Her fiancee is Austrian and she really wants to make individual kugelhopf cakes as wedding favors for approximately 100 guests. As a wedding gift I want to hire someone who can bake these for her as she won't have any time at all. Does anyone know of any private baker or even a culinary student who I could hire for this? Thanks so much.

  1. Johnson and Wales in RI has an excellent Culinary Arts program, perhaps call the school and they can find you an appropriate student.

    1. you might also try the Cambridge school of culinary arts.

      1. I have a friend who might be able to help, he's an excellent baker and has been doing wedding cakes for hire. If still in need, I can pass you along his info

        1. You could ask Megan, the Delicious Dishings blogger. She used to work at Flour.

          1. Not sure if you're still looking, but I'd recommend contacting They're private chefs and one happens to have been the pastry chef at Clear Flour for some time. Amazing baker.

This is a bit late, but I'd recommend contacting Sweet Mandel Bakery in Newton.
They are a home-based German partnership, and their work is absolutely delicious!

If it's too late for the wedding favors, perhaps the link will be useful for a later gift to the couple -- they will deliver to surrounding areas.
