Collier's Powerful Welsh Cheddar

Just had this last night for the first time. The almost buttery texture with the sharp taste was amazing. Probably the best cheddar I've ever had. Any other's like it?

Having it right now with avocado and hard boiled egg on whole wheat..

Vegetable rennet, if memory serves.

You could try the new Kerrygold Skelling (Blue Label). It's also a veg rennet Cheddar in the same price range.

I picked this up tonight and am excited to try it. I am currently on the 2 year and 3 year aged of Tillamook and Kerrygold so it might be milder than I like, but we'll see.

I tried this and it's good although I do like a sharper cheese.

Yep, I think it's OK, for a factory produced cheese. Although I wouldnt rate it even as the best cheddar produced using milk from North Wales (my vote there would go for Black Bomber from Snowdonia Cheese)

And not a patch on the market leading West Country farmhouse produced products. IMO.

It's the sort of cheese I'd use for cooking - a sauce, or cheese on toast - that sort of thing.
