Stevia leaves in place of sugar

Has anyone used fresh stevia leaves to make granita or other non-cooked desserts?

    We have a few plants going in a large planter on our deck (along with several varieties of herbs) and use the leaves muddled* in drinks. Not a pronounced sweetness but it gets the job done.

    *Steeping the leaves alone doesn't extract much but breaking them up works nicely.
