Any good restaurants not far from the highway in northern Ct. or Western Mass.?

I know people that drive from Passaic County to Boston on a regular basis and they always stop at Rein's Deli in Vernon, CT, right off I84.

You're somewhat on the wrong board. You need the Southern New England Board. However, I can tell you that if you're on the Mass Pike eastbound from western MA and northern CT and like BBQ, you should get off in Sturbridge and eat at BT's. They're not open on Mondays.
