I miss Tomo's!

Does anywhere even come close? http://www.yelp.com/biz/tomo-sushi-li...

I miss Tomo's as well. It was tiny oasis of authentic Japanese cuisine in a sea of crunchy rolls. He made the most fantastic braised pork belly and ankimo.

Their ramen is amazing. Everyone I talk to there says it's the best in the NYC area. I also like their beef curry udon and katsu presentations. The potato salad that comes with the katsu is really delicious - can't quite put my finger on the other flavors in it yet.

Me too! It was the best place ever. I still wear my Tomo's t-shirt with their house rules on the back. We have not found anything to replace it, sadly. For cooked Japanese food, have been going to Mitsuwa in Edgewater. Have also heard good things about Asahi in Ft. Lee and expect to try it over the summer.

I drive by there all the time and never thought to stop....I regret it now looking at reviews.
