Hamburg - Bavarian Staples at Hofbräu Wirtshaus, Speersort
This is the *other* Bavarian beerhall in Hamburg's city centre besides the insanely popular Hofbräuhaus at the Esplanade.
No surprises here - very good beers to wash down the:
- Very tasty & slightly spicy beef goulash ("ungarische Gulaschsuppe")
- Superb crisp-skinned pork knuckle with potato dumplings ("schweinshaxe mit kartoffelklöße")
- A selection of sausages with sauerkraut.
