Paris - lunch planning: reservations vs. flying by the seat of my pants
Hi all,
I'm taking my more-or-less annual trip to Paris, spending a week crashing and catching up with friends. Normally, I hit up my favorite spots and then allow my friends to lead the way on new places (except for Chateaubriand last year - I made it a point to go).
This time around I'm looking to hit up some unfamiliar places with a vengeance during lunchtime - when my friends will be at work anyway.
I was wondering if you guys could chime and tell me which ones you think are:
a) must-go, feel free to stroll in if you're in the area
b) must-go, you might wanna call a day ahead
c) must-go and any everyone knows it--so book now!
d) don't bother with lunch - you're missing out if you don't do dinner
e) meh, don't bother
(of course, any additional recommendations are welcome - hopefully the list clues you into what i'm looking for...fyi, had already done lunch at Pre Verre, Breizh Cafe - loved them and am likely to go back).
