If Pimenton's going to rock his paella, I'd totally check this event out. Otherwise, are there any restaurants that would be worth visiting?

I love the area, I was checking the shops today Wednesday and I'm very excited because one of my favorites pastry shops (Cafe Jules Patisserie) will have great deal for $2, $4 and $6 bucks!. Definitely we'll have to go for the best croissant in town!. Au bientot!.

pimenton will have their paella there....i asked him at the farmers mkt yesterday...

My personal list would include Flaky Tart, Jules, Pimenton, Culinarium and Il Gelatiere. :)

Oh, and maybe Debu's.

Flaky Tart, Pimenton and Il Gelaterie would be on my list, as would the cake pops place.

...and Simple. I think I also tried some cake from Half-Baked Ideas at a kids bday party and it was quite good.

Interesting (and a bit random?) that they're doing this on a Tuesday and not a weekend - could be nice to combine with a trip to the Appletree Market that afternoon, though.

There are lots of good places participating. I walk down Mt. Pleasant a lot and have always been curious about Boland's Open Kitchen. Has anyone eaten there?

I've been a couple of times.
Very commercial - something for everybody.
Keeps things simple (as with all his prior places). Duck breast is about as exotic as it gets.
Nothing will offend you (or your guests) - exactly what a neighbourhood place should be.
Personally I'd prefer a little more excitement - but good value at fair prices.
