July 14 in Paris

Hi!

We are traveling to Paris in July and will be there on the 14th. Does anyone know a good place to have dinner on that night? We would like to avoid taking any type of transportation on that night. We are staying close the Le Palais Royal, but we can walk.

Thanks!

You are spoiled for choices around the Palais Royal. I'd start with Au Gourmand on the rue Molière or Macéo on the rue des Petits Champs. Both have sites with easy online booking functions.

Unfortunately, there's no magic source for knowing what's going to be open on 14 Juillet or if there will be a special holiday menu. I doubt if Macéo or Au Gourmand will be closed but it's safer to check directly with each.

Brasserie du louvre should be open and has flexible hours, like an early dinner reservation. Menus in the 30 to 35 euro range.

I think you need to call to ask. It is a public holiday which means lots will close, but as it is a Saturday th year it won't be a long weekend so more may stay open than usual. Unless someone has special knowledge only a call will tell. There are los of places close by, Parnassien list some, you could try Verjus, or walk to Frenchie or its wine bar, or try Willies which has had a make over and is getting better reviews.
