Picnic Garden is perhaps one of the better AYCE places, but...
I am partial to a more upscale Mapo BBQ at 41st Ave and 149th in Queens. Their meat is skillfully chosen and appropriately seasoned. They might be a little more expensive yet I feel they are worth it Not an AYCE type of place, but banchan is plentiful.

Picnic garden in Flushing is the best choice for AYCE . Good Kalbi and have other meats and side dishes.

i'd suggest going to one of the branches of hahm ji bach (http://www.hahmjibach.com/contact). while they're def not ayce, in the end, they end up costing the same as picnic garden, but the quality is much, much higher, the service better, the atmosphere nicer.
