Help! Misplaced Christine Ferber's Fig & Pear Jam Recipe...

Just got a text from friends that their figs are ready to pick.

The fig & pear jam was a huge hit last year but I misplaced my jamming notes when I moved. I have ordered her book which will arrive in a week. I'm ready to jam now!

If anyone has the proportions for the recipe I would be grateful for the information.

So jealous of the figs....Let me know if you need the steps as well. Love this book, have 2 batches of strawberries in the fridge macerating.

1 3/4 lb figs
1 lb pears or 3/4 net
4 2/3 cups sugar
Juice of 1 small lemon

Thank you - you are a lifesaver! I have the steps memorized, but my mind never can remember numbers....

My friend was a tad premature -he saw the birds in the tree and called. We found about 2 lbs. Looks like another 3 - 4 days before many will be ready.

What recipe are you using for your strawberries?
