Private room or space in Japanese restaurant for 80th birthday dinner?

I'm looking ideally for a private room (or private-ish) in a Japanese or Asian fusion restaurant in NYC preferably downtown, maybe midtown for 18 people for my mother's 80th birthday. Really trying to keep costs down, most of the guests won't drink.

Any ideas?

En Japanese Brasserie on Hudson St.is perfect. They have wonderful rooms to accommodate different size groups. There are things on the menu to please everyone. You can design your own kaiseki meal with great service. Their home tofu is very good, they ebi shinjo, they also have sushi. The rooms look like your entering an old japanese house. I recommend you go take a look, they will gladly show you the rooms
