Sapp Coffee Shop: A Pictorial Essay

J.L. Jun 17, 2012 04:06 AM

Verdict: Definitely Chow-worthy. The service was excellent, and the owners are really nice people. Incredible Thai noodles, especially their famous Thai Boat Noodles (the main reason for our visit). The soup was complex, rich and satisfying.

But what we didn't expect was that their fried rice dishes were outstanding, as well! Sapp Coffee Shop is a great Thai restaurant in the heart of Thai Town (in Hollywood).

Highlights: Thai Boat Noodles (of course), Jade Noodles with BBQ Pork, Duck & Crab Meat, Duck Fried Rice, Thai Iced Coffee (hey, it IS a coffee shop by name, after all!)

Next time you'll have to try their crispy pork sauteed with basil.

Their chicken and rice is also pretty good too.

    Great series of photos!

We went there a few weeks ago after much too long of a haitus (Hurray for Expo line!) and found it as tasty as I remember... all still very home made to order! Along with the boat noodles, those Jade noodles are a MUST! :)

Call me a heathen, but I've never really liked Sapp all that much.

Food isn't bad, and the prices are certainly wallet-friendly, and maybe at the end of the day that's enough.
