Two nights in Vegas -- July 4 and July 15

Passing through Vegas July 4 and July 15, 2012

We (my wife & I) normally eat at Picasso or Lotus of Siam, but figured it is time to branch out and try something new.

I've narrowed my list down to this from what I've read on the boards so far:

Robuchon - MGM
L'Atelier de Robuchon - MGM
E by Jose - Cosmopolitan
Sage - Aria
Le Cirque - Bellagio
B&B -- Venetian
Scarpetta -- Cosmopolitan

Question 1) Is Robuchon worth it? (Cost not a problem, but still want good value.) Or would we get a better or as good a meal cheaper somewhere else on this list?

Question 2) So which two of the above? (Or which other one, if Robochon is a must do?)

Thanks
Tom

  1. I've dined at all of the restaurants on your list except B&B; my 2 favorite restaurants from your list are Le Cirque and Sage. I had a fabulous dinner last year at Robuchon, but my dinner this year at Robuchon was not as good food wise. I loved e by Jose Andres last year, but have learned that there has been a dramatic price increase this year, plus the exquisite foie gras was not on the menu when I returned to LV this past March. I've dined 4 times at Le Cirque, and have always had fabulous dinners. Sage is a new discovery for me this year, and I felt it "blew my less than stellar dinner at Robuchon this year out of the water". Scarpetta was "good", but while I was seated at a wonderful table overlooking the Bellagio fountains, and the service was very friendly and attentive, I loved only my first course of the foie gras and duck ravioli with Marsala sauce. The duck main course and zeppoles with nutella were merely "OK".
