Biscuits and gravy at magouns saloon Somerville

You know how I feel about this place but I must add a super shout out to the biscuits and gravy at my local! House made spicy sausage patties. House made flaky biscuits. Nice thick peppery gravy. Just a treat if you are in the mood and in the hood.

Blue Moon GrIll in Wakefield makes a pretty awesome B&G too, should you find yourself in that neighborhood.

Note that there are two fluffy biskits, housemade sausage patties very crispy on the griddle, and a few good ladles of peppery gravy. Really a delicious rendition. I have no idea how these could be made better.

These are delicious. I totally forgot about them until you posted. I can't think of anything I've had at Magoun's that isn't good. And at a few blocks from our house, it is a really nice go-to when we don't feel like a fussier dining out experience.

man, that looks good. B&G is usually a dish that my expectations exceed delivery but those look great. I've been meaning to get back to Magouns after a pleasing Reuben sandwich with house made corned beef.

I love love love biscuits & gravy! Wish there were somewhere in central Boston where I could indulge my vice with something reminiscent of the Mid South.

The Gallows in the South End has Sausage Biscuits and Gravy as a special from time to time. I had them hmmm - the beginning of April. I have to say they were delicious! Among the best I've had.
