Baltimore restaurant

Any recommendations for a restaurant near Baltimore Penn Station? I will be having dinner with a friend I haven't seen in 10+ years, so someplace nice but not too "fancy," not so loud that we can't talk, and where we can sit a while without feeling rushed.

This is way too late for Vaskling but for others search in the area the new renovated Chesapeake is quite nice.

Thai Landing is excellent Thai two blocks south. Tapas Teatro is better, so is Brewer's Art.

I'll also toss in Joe Squared great pizza and some good pastas and a good bar. No the most pleasant walk though.

What about the dining room at Brewer's Art? Or, if you like Indian, one of my favorites is a few blocks away-- Akbar. It's a small, cozy place where you can certainly take your time and have intimate conversation.

I'm going to second the vote for Tapas Teatro.

Tapas Teatro is just about a block or two north of the station....sometimes they try to rush you, due to the theatre crowd.., not an issue if it's a weekday ,or go after theatre start times(It is adjacent to the CHARLES THEATRE
