Don't do it! Stay at home! It's the worst night of the year to eat out. Food and service quality will be sub par most everywhere. Those in the "biz" call it "Rookie Night."

Many years ago I had V-day dinner with a then-girlfriend at Ricci's in downtown Sac. One of the most disasterous meals of my life. Though in all fairness I must point out that I wrote a letter to Mr. Ricci himself detailing my experience and he refunded 100% of my money back, including the tip.

But that experience, on top of others, leave me with the same attitude as SLRossi. Valentine's Day is the worst night of the year to eat out--even worse than New Years Eve. No thanks.
