those smoked jalopena poppers were as delicious as you said they'd be. This would be at Smoke, the BBQ spot in Neptune, just UP the road from Pete & Elda's for the uninitiated.
Can't believe I never ordered them - though if I was with my bride, that was the probably the reason as she can't handle spice - with that mantra putting a real 'kaibosh' when I cook Thai.
Any way, last night, I walked over to the nearby liquor store to grab a couple of cold ones (this after ordering) - and as I'm returning it appears that the poppers were there on the table. Eyed the offering and it looked a bit light. Wifey says they were pretty good with a sheepish smile.
Next time (riding solo) will order two of these appy's, maybe a side of mac/cheese. One 24 oz. Bud grenade and that's heaven on earth.
