Stellar on Main St in Greenville SC has new chef and is in much better shape now.
This place has had rather strange time in the last few years but I think it has finally hit its stride. They have a new chef who knows what good food is and really showing if off. This has happened in the last week and I have been there twice since the change. It still has that same cool interior and a wine sentric bar. I would really consider this the first real wine bar in Greenville.
I had the shrimp and grits cake. One of the best I have ever had.
The lamb lollipops were awesome. I will have those again soon.
The glazed pork belly was a very nice size and had great sauce and glaze on it.
The duck breast was a good but I am still in love with the duck breast at Devereaux's.
I like the idea that almost every time I have been there the owner was overseeing everything and was engaged with the customers seeking open and honest feedback.
I find the food here much better than Trios next door and probably the best on "this end" of Main Street. They have a nice uncomplicated pace, I hope it stays that way. I will try to be there weekly as both my wife and really enjoy it.
