Tequila bar west side of Detroit?

I am looking for a tequila bar to take my father in law (huge tequila fan) for his birthday. He lives in south Lyon so I was hoping to find something over on that side of the city. Any suggestions?

I know it is not too Close but El Barzon off Michigan Ave in Detroit had one hell of a Tequila/Mescal selection.

Also not close...but Barrio in Birmingham has over 125 different tequilas and about 15 mescals.

I believe Rojo Mexican Bistro in Novi has a good selection of tequila and sometimes hosts tastings. Call to check—it's been awhile, and their food is just OK. But it's worth a try.

Rojo does indeed have a good selection but that is where we took him last year. I heard Milford has a tequila bar. Has anyone been there?

You're thinking of this place-- www.cincolagos.com. I liked it and recommend it, but i didn't have tequila while there. I'm sure they always have a couple LEGIT' premium brands (and sometimes they had Tastings Nights), but traditional neat tequila with lime and tomato juice sides is not how they usually serve it, i wouldn't guess. People have lately been saying, "this place has gone down hill." But, my SOLE visit ONE YEAR AGO involved good food and atmosphere. Just look at the menu.

Lunches there are depressing, but the food is still top notch for what they are going for. I think we may still see Chef Polcyn may redevelop the place. It was created to adapt to the economy of the time. As we are growing I am sure we may see better days. The Calamari and fish Taco's are stellar! :)

Oh! I haven't tried those yet. I'm a big fan of the mole tacos, but I'll try the fish taco(s) next time.
