Pick your own - Houston area

I was thinking about the peach farm that used to be down near Angleton where you could pick your own and went looking for some information. I came across this:

http://www.pickyourown.org/TXhouston.htm

Disclaimers: The only one of these I've done business with is Froberg in Alvin. I have no idea how up-to-date the list is and it should be noted some of these are not very close to Houston.

But, as a supplement to farmer's markets, here's another way to get some of the fruit that is available in this area.

This reminded me that when I was a child, my parents used to go off in the brambles on my uncle's farm at Danbury and come back with buckets of fresh picked blackberries. That would mean blackberry cobbler and home-made ice cream for dessert that night. Mmmmm-good.

Any hounds have any experience with any of these?

I've picked blueberries at Moorhead's Blueberry Farm for years. Very good, and always honest about the picking conditions. They give little updates on what's ripe, etc.
