Springfield Frigos & Zonins
I frequent Frigo's in both locations. Love the grinders @ $5.00. Great value and freshness. Also buy the deli by the pound and find it OK. The prepared veal is also very good. I have never been to Zonins (not sure why) but it will open alongside the new La Fiorentina in E Long. It looks like the specialty there is the sausage. What do you like best at both?
I'm not sure what exactly the difference is (maybe Joe Frigo always on hand), but I MUCH prefer the Springfield location.
As for what I like there... I'm not sure I've ever had ANYTHING that wasn't amazing. Anything he does with pounded veal cutlets is pretty much better than anywhere else in western Mass.
