FXcuisine.com ??

Does anybody know why he's not writing any more? He constantly surprised me.

He does things that I never heard of. I thought someone might know something about him. I hate to think bad things.

Many thanks for posting his "new" site, HillJ. On one hand I'm glad he's still working, but on the other hand I'm sad that he's not posting food articles and recipes. I've made many of his recipes and each was outstanding. His Pasta Norma is a particular favorite. I learned so much from him.

I recall he was very interested in photography and I do remember he announced he was moving on to video but I rather thought he'd continue to post on his original site.

Dave... didn't know you liked FX too...

Gio, if you hear/find anything from him that is more recent, pls post it here. Thanks.

          1. re: Gio

Make sure you have copies of the recipes that you like, in case the original site disappears.

            1. re: paulj

Good tip, paulj, thanks. I do go back very now and then and notice a few recent comments. There are many people out there who still refer to his recipes...

              1. re: paulj

Good idea! I love his stuff, check out the site every now and then, and miss his posts. Will have to check out the videos.

It is back up - so it was just a temporary loss.

                  It's not "just" the recipes,
                  http://fxcuisine.com/Default.asp?lang...
(I think it needs a touch of acacia honey
                  )http://fxcuisine.com/Default.asp?lang...
                  http://fxcuisine.com/Default.asp?lang...
it's the background. Like the pictures of that Swiss restaurant kitchen with the work tables up against those great windows :

                  or that flat mixing "bowl."
                  http://fxcuisine.com/Default.asp?lang...
                  or these guys:
                  http://fxcuisine.com/Default.asp?lang...
Also the things I had never heard of like bigoli:
                  http://fxcuisine.com/Default.asp?lang...
                  or garganelli:
                  http://fxcuisine.com/Default.asp?lang...
                  Then he went traveling.

                  http://fxcuisine.com/Default.asp?lang...
And finally shows me something unobtainable to drool over:

I miss the chance to be enchanted, I suppose. FX is just not the usual.

<". FX is just not the usual.">

No, it's not. And his video site is not what one would expect either. Basically he's given a forum to anyone who is serious about creative filming and wants to have it presented to the world at large...

                    1. re: Gio

It looks like the site is down. Lame...
