40th Birthday Party

I'm planning a suprise dinner party for my husband's 40th Birthday. I'm looking for a private room geographically ranging from Beverly Hills to Downtown that can accomodate that 15-25 people. (We live in Hollywood.) My budget is up to $80-100 per person max. Open to all cuisine types. Any recommendations would be appreciated!

What kind of vibe are you looking for?

Westside Tavern (West LA) has a private room. The food is pretty good (on the casual side) and the private room is nice- upscale, stylish.

I'm not 100% sure if this restaurant has a private room, but I know they have a section they can make private. Nic's in Beverly Hills. If your husband is into martinis, this place is fun. The food is decent, and the drinks are great. They have a fun "ice room" you can visit. It's definitely cheesy, but sometimes cheesy is good for a birthday.

This place doesn't have a private room, but I went to a birthday party here where they rented out the whole place. Fundamental LA (West LA). Innovative food, very plain decor. Only beer and wine (no cocktails), which might not work for a 40th.

Are you open to any ethnic food restaurants? I went to a really fun birthday dinner in Little Ethiopia where they rented out the whole restaurant. Little Ethiopia Restaurant.

Last suggestion. I went to a really nice outdoor dinner held at the restaurant at The Viceroy. I barely remember what we ate, but it was an amazing outdoor setup. We ate dinner in these open air gazebo type things. It felt very glamorous.

Rivera downtown is great food and drinks and vibe. Perfect for a 40th.

I agree with Rivera. And also Pizzeria Mozza has a fun private room.
