Looking for offsite caterer for a BBQ in North Momouth County

Hi,
I'm looking for a caterer to handle a BBQ for about 50-70 people at the end of July at our house in north Monmouth County. I'm not looking for a pig roast, just a standard BBQ. Any recommendations on caterers that you have used (or heard good things about) and wasn't super expensive?

Thanks!!!

I've done catering from Jersey Shore BBQ in twice and Local Smoke in Neptune once. Both are very good and reasonably priced IMHO - my suggestion go to both places And try it out. The pulled pork and baked beans are outstanding at Jersey Shore but I prefer the ribs and Mac n cheese at Local Smoke. It's really a personal preference when it comes to good BBQ - you won't be disappointed with either.

Jersey Short BBQ, in Belmar, does caterning. I've never used them for catering, but we have eaten there, and the food is excellent.

Another recommendation would be Local Smoke BBQ in Neptune City. I too have never used them for catering but have enjoyed their food on many occasions. As for RGR's recommendation, the name of the establishment is Jersey Shore BBQ.

I can't give you a recommendation, only a warning. I've been to a few backyard BBQs in my day where a BBQ Outfit will come to your home with the food, staff and BBQ Grill. Quite often, they will only Ribs that are commercially prepared and vacuum sealed in BBQ sauce similar to what you could purchase in you local supermarket.

Make sure you know what you are contracting for.......and if possible, try their food out first like at a place like Local Smoke suggested above.

A friend of mine used Tuscany on Gordon's Corner Rd. in Manalapan to do a bbq for her 40th birthday party a couple of years ago. They were great. They did all the cooking & clean up so that my friend good enjoy her own party & the food was really good. Don't know what they charged, though, but I'm sure if you go on their website, you can get menus & prices.
