Does anyone know of a source for good old fashioned frankfurters in the Triad. I am looking for the kind that is full of flavor and snap. Not the kind in the regular grocer stores.

  1. I'm sure this has a different definition for everyone, but are you looking for a sausage type dog? If so, my favorite (odd location but husband is a truck driver and knows how to sniff these things out) is the Sausage Dog at Huff's (convenience store) in Burlington Exit 145. Besides being a good quality sausage, their toppings are pretty good for convenience store/grill, and I love it with just mustard and a strip of their "real" cheese melted on it, not velveeta or nacho sauce, but real cheddar. Their hot dogs are pretty decent too, but the sausage dog is what makes it worth the drive for me.
