Seattle Kitchen?

So... Who listens to "Seattle Kitchen" on KIRO FM (97.3) 8-9am Saturday mornings? Hosted by Tom Douglas and Thierry Rautureau.

For those who do, is it worthwhile?

What I admire is how they both freely promote other restaurants--especially new start ups. Their generosity of spirit is genuine and I really respect them for that.

I listen sometimes as I know Thierry personally, and always get a kick out of his funny banter. I admit I don't feel like I get much 'cooking wise' out of the show, but it can be entertaining.

I listen every now and then. The banter is fun. Frequently their guest is a pain though and doesn't add to the show.

I listen via their podcast which is only 30 minutes.

I find those two to be humorous and they talk about local places. However, each segment is fairly short so they don't really delve into topic too deeply.

I listen occasionally when I'm out walking the pups-- I think it's generally quite entertaining, and it is clear that Tom and Thierry are dear friends and like to goof around a bit. I think it will get even more interesting once the new season of Top Chef Masters starts to air (Thierry is on the show again this season) and they can dish the behind-the-scenes dirt. The only downside for me is that it's a pre-recorded program, so you can't fire off a quick email/text with a question if the mood strikes.
