Sacramento......best meals under ten bucks..tell us!.

Rubicon Brewing company had a sspecial tonite that was amazing. 9 big shrimp ( take that Tapa's, and your five for 10 bucks deal) grilled with garlic and other savoryness (<<<<maybe a word?). The best mexican rice I have ever had anywhere and a salad with their homemade blu cheese and spring mix salad. $7.95! What a deal. Great beers too...the brown beer they just came out with is mighty fine.

I just looked up Mr. Taco looking for a map and just to confirm the location. The address is listed as 6134 West A Street, Dixon,CA 95620 On the West side of 80 the street is Dixon Ave. but it turns into West A Street on the East side of Highway 80. I believe that the exit offf of 80 will be labelled: Dixon/West A St. I don't know the exit number. Mr. Taco used to be a GIANT ORANGE back when they dotted the California landscape.

The noodle bowls at Rice Noodles on Arden. It comes with grilled meats or shrimps, cukes, cilantro, shredded carrots and rice noodles.

I don't know if Davis counts for Sacramento but, for us, no trip in that direction is complete without a visit to Mr. Taco. It's at the Davis exit across from the Carl's Jr., and serves one of the best burritos within 500 miles.

It's a hole in the wall, and you can't go wrong with the roasted chicken burrito. It's as big as a baby's leg, and took two of us to eat it.

Hmmm Looks like my kinda place...there used to a be cahin called Mr Taco. Always had a 1/2 of cherry tomato on the taco.
