ISO Bake and Shark

Hi all -

Does anyone know of any places in the Toronto area (bonus points if it's on the subway line) that sells Trinidadian Bake and Shark?

For those that are curious Bake and Shark is deep-fried shark stuffed in deep-fried batter, called "Bake". I'm not sure if shark is actually shark or another type of fish.

I've had bake and "shark" from a Guyanese spot in Toronto but they don't deep fry the fish, it more so has the consistency of flaked saltfish. Not what I'm looking for. Deep fried is key.

Any ideas? Thanks in advance!

My bf's auntie always makes ours - I'm pretty sure it is actual shark but one of the smaller varieties.

Have you tried Drupati's yet? They also do a great wedding roti there. I believe they come in three. They are giant but freeze well.

Call ahead but Drupati's has it as a special sometimes from what I remember.

If you try it, definitely report back. I haven't had it there in years, curious to see if they still serve it and if its still decent.
