Work brings me to Austin next week, and then an evening drive up to Dallas
Where is the one don't miss place I should stop for Bar-B-Que?

Thanks in advance!

Clem Mikeska's in Temple springs to mind. It's solid on the fundamentals, with reliable sides, all served in a taxidermy-rich environment.

I wouldn't say there's anywhere "don't miss" between Austin and Dallas. If I had to go somewhere I'd go to Michna's in Waco a close 2nd would be DeMaria's in Waco.

Taylor is sort of in between Autin and Dallas and worth the detour for a BBQ an.

I wouldn't attempt to stop anywhere for BBQ in the evening.

Dang, good point. In Austin there is plenty of ok BBQ available in the evening but all the Great spots are right on the edge of BBQ for breakfast lately!

Miller's in Belton. Excellent brisket and jalapeno cheddar sausage.
