Thai tea leaves

hala Jun 11, 2012 06:34 AM

I have run out of tea leaves for making Thai iced tea. Does anyone know where I can buy some more here in Montreal?

Do you want "thai tea" – the stuff with food colouring added? They sell it at Hawaï, but I'm pretty certain any Asian supermarket will have it.

I could do without the food coloring, but there is a bit of flavoring added too.

Marche Oriental on st Denis and jean talon has the correct stuff. It's called Thai Tea Mix on the bag. $4 for 500 grams. Tastes like the real thing.

Tried to look there for it, but couldn't find it for the log of me. Which aisle is it in? Could you link a pic of the bag? Thanks.
