Breville Food Processor?

My trusty old Kitchen Aid food processor from 1999 finally died. Cracked housing, busted safety latch on the bowl/lid (replaced once already). Time to get something new.

What does anyone know about the Breville? Consumer Reports seemed to love everything about it but the price ($400).

I bought an old-style 14-cup Cuisinart and returned it - food kept getting stuck between the grater and the lid, shutting off the motor. Also, the feed tube was tiny.

These newer machines seem to have "safety" features that make them in effect less useful than my old machine. I use the food processor for grating vegetables for salads and cheeses, slicing for pickles and potato dishes, doughs and crusts for all kinds of baking projects, the occasional mayonnaise.
