does anyone know where to buy fresh masa (for making tortillas, sopes, etc.)? el burrito mercado? anywhere on lake street?

i'm not sure if la perla sells their own tortillas, but i have bought fresh (still warm and steaming in the bag) la perla tortillas at the cub on lake street (at hiawatha.)

they sell blue and yellow corn, as well as flour...

Get them for $1 a bag at La Perla in Mercado Central on Lake Street, Minneapolis. You can watch them make them in the background as you wait in line.

They have restricted their making. I have only gotten warm ones once in the last 6 times I have been there. The price I think went up to a whopping $1.25 for 3 doz..They also sell Masa.

Oh, that's a bummer that you can't count on getting them warm anymore.

La Perla sells it in the mercado central on lake. They are next to the manny's torta's in the food court area.
