Little Haiti

I'm a San Francisco 'hound coming to the Miami area for a family visit in a few weeks. I've never explored Little Haiti and I'm wondering if there are any great, down-home, locals only restaurants in the area for lunch. All recs welcome.

I've also heard good things about Chez Le Bebe and Au Bongout, but haven't had the chance to try either of them yet. The latter is in North Miami, not Little Haiti, however.

You may want to check out B&M Market (not quite really a restaurant, just a few stools at a counter type layout), Chef Creole, Naomi's. Chez Rosie, which is in the awkwardly named Who @ 67th spot on Biscayne Blvd., is only open for dinner I think.

For non-Caribbean food, also check out Red Light (try & check to make sure they're doing lunch service), Blue Collar. I have heard good things about Ni.Do Caffe but haven't tried it yet.

Is this the same Chez Rosie that was NW 2nd Ave? I didn't realize that they moved over to Biscayne. If so, then I recommend them.

Not a fan of Chez Le Bebe or Chef Creole.
