Best Feta Baltimore

Double Whammy. I just left a post about outside lunch with friends from NYC. But now I'm inspired again. I want feta cheese like they put on the salads at Ikaros. Fed up with supermarket feta. Help me find it. Thanks!

Agreed on Prima. My greek friends swear by it.

    2. I recommend the homemade "Barrel Feta" sold at the Greek Village Bakery, 4711 Eastern Avenue
Baltimore, Md. 21224 (George Avgerinos, 410-675-8155).

Second. You can sample all variety of feta he has there.

      2. Dunno exactly what the flavor profile of your ideal feta is, but the Eden brand they sell at Trader Joe's is really fresh-tasting and smooth while still being salty enough. Definitely one of my favorites. It's sold in plastic packages, with green and yellow on it... I think it may be Israeli in origin?

Hungrygrad - It is Israeli. We like it too !

        2. Whole Foods sells an imported French feta that is both expensive and divine!

          1. Feta comes in many varieties* so you might just want to call the restaurant and find out which brand they use.
