Friends from NYC, outdoor lunch Baltimore

Some friends from NY are coming to town Saturday and wanted to get together for lunch. We were thinking outside and casual, but good.Don't want to be hassled by panhandlers but not looking for run of the mill food either.We live in Hampden, so anywhere downtown is cool.The more I think about it ,sounds like a tall order.But I'm sure the chowhounds will come through.

Mr. Rain's Funhouse has a nice patio with a good view. It's pretty casual in the day.

I'n sure it's too late but I'd head up Falls Road to Jake's without a doubt. People from NY would love it since they have nothing like it.

It's not outdoors, but Brewers Art is a great place with delicious food and drinks.... Might be a good idea if the weather doesn't cooperate or you decide indoors (for deliciousness) is ok!

You might want to consider the Thames Street Oyster House in Fells Point. From my limited experience the food has been quite good and I like the space. They have limited outdoor seating. http://www.thamesstreetoysterhouse.com/

Thames St. Oyster House in Fells has a great courtyard. Panhandlers are hit or miss. Lebanese Taverna also has outdoor seating and I always enjoy their food.

You probably want to get out of Hampden as it's Honfest. I suggest Mamas on the Half Shell in Canton for great Baltimore style seafood.

Gertrude's at the Baltimore Museum of Art has a wonderful outdoor dining area and the food is quite good. It isn't far from Hampden and no hassel with parking or panhandlers. FoiGras
